I have updated Fit For Pearls since I figured it was that one’s turn, but alas I did not write more on that over my mini-vacation like I was so sure I was gonna, so I uhhhh don’t know where I’m going from here exactly but this is a problem for future me.

I did reach a very important milestone in this story, which I am delighted to have hit.

“Geralt,” Ciri said, but then broke off at a sound from the window. There was a scrabbling, and they all turned in surprise to look, and then a black bird flew in. One of Yennefer’s, Geralt realized with a start. Conjured and sent by magic. It settled on Ciri’s headboard, fluttered its wings to settle them as though it were a real bird, opened its beak, and said, “When were you going to tell me about the fucking dragon?”
