i am Going on Vacation. wellll i’m going to an AirBnB “cabin in the woods” in… somewhere down the hudson valley, so far from my house but closeish to the farm, for two nights, and then we’re going to the farm for the week. hopefully there will be cabin-building. hopefully i will not just wash eggs the whole time but i am prepared to wash eggs the whole time. dude is staying at the farm for the week because he can work remotely and like why… not…. he was going to come back on the train, but i wanted him to help with cabin things and of course we don’t know what the weather will be so we don’t know which day we’ll be able to spend on building shit so. impossible to schedule.

anyway. The Farm Season is going to begin. I’m not ready. I meant to do literally any physical activity this winter and just didn’t. Woke up this morning with one forearm all sore and funky and either I was possessed in my sleep or I have… sore muscles… from scrubbing a pot??? yeah idk.

anyhow this cabin in the woods just outside a fairly large town has a hot tub so i am going to procure a bucket of salmon and sit topless in it and live my bearselkie dreams, so.

also i have packed both a sewing machine and my serger into the car already, and several large bags of Projects, so we shall see what I actually do but I’m Prepared.

(Have I packed clothes? No. I found my bikini. That’s not gonna cut it for like. Going out to dinner or you know the entire week I’m spending working on the farm. (Mm yes I am applying roof sheathing to the cabin in a 40 degree drizzle, in a bikini! Hmm maybe not.) So probably I need to do that but let me just sit here trying to get my weird sore arm to work again. God I have the fitness levels of an entire veal calf.)

well, I’m on vacation, which is why I haven’t updated the fic today. I just forgot it was Friday. I have hot-tubbed topless and today I lay in the sun in a thong for a careful twenty minutes so as not to get sunburnt, but like, I needed some vitamin D, and that’s not a sex thing that’s a genuine metabolism thing. It’s going to rain the rest of the time but today it’s a glorious 70F so I’m out there. I will update the fic! Probably tomorrow when it is raining, but it’s possible I won’t get to it. Rest assured, I have several juicy possibilities and hope to get even more written whilst here, I’m just, you know, away from the keyboard and made no provisions for this, LOL.
