Happy Valentine’s Day, Witcher Friends!

I am pleased to announce I will be running a new round of the Fisstech & Succubi Eskel Celebration in 2022, now that we have more Eskel content to create amazing fanworks of! Based on feedback I received from last year’s participants, I am going to be running this year’s exchange using the gift exchange platform on AO3 so the timeline and format for signups will be slightly different. If you have any questions at all, please send them to the ask box for this blog so I can answer them for everybody to see. This is my first time running (or participating in) a gift exchange through the AO3 platform so please be patient with me, I might not have all the answers right away.

Monday February 14 2022 (that’s today!!!) to Monday February 28 2022 - Tag Nominations. Please follow the link at the bottom of this post, and I will also make a separate post with the same link.

• You will have the opportunity to add up to three fandoms (that’s Witcher Netflix, Witcher games, and Witcher novels); and then for each fandom up to five characters and up to five relationships.

• You don’t have to specify Eskel as a character, I will make sure that all three forms of him are on the tag set.

• This is a fandom event about Eskel so your relationship nominations should include Eskel as one of the characters. The relationships can be / (romantic and/or sexual) or & (non-romantic and non-sexual).

• you will also have the opportunity to add up to 15 additional tags that you would like to write about, read about, or that you think would be fun for people to have in the mix. Please be generous and creative, try to fill up all 15 of your tags, because later during the signup process people will be limited to asking for and offering only the things that are in the tag list.

• You do not have to commit to participating in the exchange in order to nominate tags! In fact the more people we have nominating tags, the more fun it will be.

Tuesday March 1 2022 to Thursday March 10 2022 - Signups will be open. The form will prompt you to input characters, relationships, and tags (from the tags that were nominated during the tag nomination period) for three works you’re willing to write; and characters, relationships, and tags for three works you’d like to receive as a gift.

Friday March 11 2022 to Mumbleday March Mumble 2022 - requests are matched with writers. Apparently there is a script on the AO3 website that does this automatically, and also sends out the emails with the assignments automatically, so maybe it really won’t take that long! I hope it will be finished by Sunday, March 13 2022 but if it’s not, the next part of the timeline will be bumped forward accordingly.

Sunday May 15 2022 - fic due date!

A couple answers to questions I know I will get - yes, I would appreciate pinch hitters; and yes, people can do treats/gifts.

And a question for participants: how do you feel about an anonymous period during fic writing and for a short time after the fics are posted?
