i don’t write songs ok

but during chicken processing, we were discussing packing up the organs at the end, for sale or for distribution to the various helpers, yeah, like we do, and Sister was like “oh a customer requested us to sell her three pounds of hearts and three pounds of livers”

and my dumbass brain was immediately like “that there is one-half of the chorus of a bluegrass song”, and made up a tune.

Three pounds of hearts, and three pounds of livers….

and then later my brain was like you know what rhymes with livers is gizzards so now there’s the end of the next line….

and so I had that earwormed for a while, the number of syllables and an approximate structure for the melody

and by the end of packaging I had decided that the chorus was gonna start with one pound of each organ on the first repeat, and then as the verses progressed it’d go up by a pound every go-round

but i still don’t have like. a plot for it, or any of the verses.

also i don’t know how to write a song.

but anyway. that’s definitely a bluegrass song. (Your picture was not posted)
