Ah it got here!

I found this in a thrift shop in Albuquerque New Mexico, then forgot it there and my brother had to mail it to me. I can’t yet read it, but it’s got the most wonderful diagrams showing how each stitch is done. I THINK it’s in Ukrainian.

The diagrams alone in this book have taught me in 15 minutes more about speed-cross stitching and pulled threadwork than anything else I’ve ever read and I can’t even READ it.

This is it, this is the way I return to my childhood days of the back must always be as presentable as the front.

There are diagrams going over that, and tbh I’ve learned more from the pictures in this alone how to keep the back neat than literally any other book or video I’ve ever seen.

Hi! Ukrainian here. It was so sudden to see something related to my culture on my dash.. wow. I tried to search for an e-version of it but no luck. According to notes you don’t need much help with translation, but if you (or anyone there, really) are interested in further research, I can search for similar books and share them here.

Another Ukrainian here! I was just searching for something to start cross stitching myself. If you need any help with translation and/or could scan/photograph the pages inside, please let me know :)

I did some looking online, and it appears this is actually a rather uncommon (I don’t want to say rare, but it might be the best word) book.

I have a scanner, and am going to try to scan it. The book is old, and I don’t want to damage it, so if the scanner looks like it might cause damage I will take pictures. I want to get the highest quality images I can though, so I’ll try the scanner first.

If you have to take pictures, the Tiny Scanner Pro app is absolutely worth the $5 it costs. Takes excellent photos, then refines them for maximum detail

Oh fantastic, thanks for the tip. I’ll get it.

OKAY have started scanning, have actually created a dropbox with the scans because I figured that would be easiest. Here’s the link.
