ok i really need to put all the Roche stuff into a separate series.

anyway: here, in a very special collab with akilah12902 https://tmblr.co/mmG9gp3S698rFJImW-pcxgg , is the backstory fix-it fic you’ve all been waiting for, to fix the disaster of the W3 quest Reason of State, wherein you fix the North’s Radovid problem and then have to for stupid reasons either kill one of your allies or let him kill a bunch of your other allies. it’s dumb. we’re not doing that.

Also we’re fixing canon’s Adda-the-former-striga problems, wherein she’s only a person when that’s convenient to the plot. F that.

“No,” Roche admitted.

There was a moment, as they all considered that. “Could be a lot of reasons for it,” Ves assayed.

“Could be,” Geralt said.

“I,” Roche started, but bit it off. There was no point arguing. They all knew what was at stake, what they might find.

“I know,” Geralt said. “You know the risks. We all do.”

“I’m not afraid,” Ves said stoutly.
