ha i managed to get my shit together and post chapter 2 of the Ciri Gets A Girlfriend story https://archiveofourown.org/works/31289303/chapters/77741375#workskin. What the heck did I call it, I was just looking at it– right, Fit For Pearls, chapter 2, on AO3, here we are.

Ciri, in her underpants, drinking brandy with a knife strapped to her thigh. Poor Luliana’s gay little heart.

“I cannot envision General Voorhis being in any way perceivably discomfited,” Luliana said, surprised.

Cirilla laughed. “It’s true, Morvran always has the same blandly affable expression no matter what happens,” she said. “Nothing ever seems to upset him. I think sometimes that I could stab him and he would keep that mild expression as he pulled the knife out and calmly asked why I would do that, and weighed my answer to decide whether he agreed with me or not.” She broke off, laughing, and Luliana laughed as well, it was so patently absurd an image and yet one could easily imagine Voorhis doing this.
