i need like. half an hour to an hour to finish proofreading and post the final chapter of the fisstech and succubus fic.

i do not have half an hour.

i planned on taking an hour to do it this morning– not first thing, first thing i had to get Farmkid off to remote school at her friend’s house, and then I returned home to discover i had to make lunch for a dozen people, which like– no big deal but I decided I’d rather do it early and have it keep warm. (Had to be vegan. Not too much harder, though it takes some thought. Figured it out. Sweet potato chili with black beans.) So I set to work on that, and got it put into the instant pot. and then Farmsister came and set up a dried flower arranging station saying she’d work on it this evening but if I had time–

well, I spent the rest of the morning on that, and then got Farmkid and went over to Mom’s where older sister was still there with two of her kids and we were doing one last round of cleaning out the garage and Dad’s workshop there, and – well. anyway it’s 9:30pm and I’m just looking at my computer for the first time today.

I have to share my terrible joke though. Mom was complaining about the ants on the kitchen counter– it’s the time of year– and someone of course said something about aunt poison, and I feigned terrible fear and clutched my chest [side note: in our accent the insect and the word for one’s parent’s sister are pronounced identically] and my younger nephew, who is 11 and currently rather hard to impress, laughed his fool head off, so I’ll have y’all know that I am a comedic genius and also I am going to have to etch myself a flask to say aunt poison on it, or somesuch.

Such a product must exist? Google keeps autocorrecting me to ant poison which like I know how to fucking spell that, I know what I mean you shit, argh. Oh well. (Your picture was not posted)
