oh man i just discovered ANOTHER incomplete scene in chapter 2 that I thought I had finished. This chapter might get put up in two chunks or something. I really don’t want to delay it. What is wrong with me? Ughhh. I KNEW I was going to have trouble getting it done for this Wednesday, why did I make it a cliffhanger? But I really thought I had the scene squared away. D-X
Spent 14 hours yesterday grinding away on slaughter prep for today and babysitting. Got all the knives sharpened without incident, then sliced my thumb open washing them afterward. Now I got an open wound that’s one hundred percent guaranteed to get infected, because chickens are disgusting bacteria harbors.
The slice goes straight through the scar on my thumb from a power saw incident in seventh grade, so I’m interested to see how that heals up, especially after recovering from whatever disgustingness is going to happen to it after today.
Maybe I can try skin glue? IDK. don’t want to wear a rubber glove because the likelihood of cutting yourself again goes through the roof if you do, because you can’t feel what you’re doing. Ughhh.
Anyway. Today’ll be another 12-hour day.
