Have you read Heronfem's epic with him?? I did not think I cared one bit about it before Anoke got super into it and I was like "oh why not I'll join in this is fun" and now I am SO INVESTED in the whole concept. He's so cute!!!! and angry!!! and spicy!!! and he CARES SO MUCH! he's a good character and one of the ones that fanon has enormously improved.

I got into it because of Anoke's stories too!! I already liked Lambert because I do love a rude drowned rat, but then they hinted at the concept of gnc during "the law of surprise" and i absolutely fell in love.

A Beginner's Guide To Exploiting the Kaedweni Tax Code is the Heronfem joint, it's a modern a/u but it's set on the Continent which is a fun bit of worldbuilding, and Lambert paints his nails and wears a beautiful ballgown. It's generally more fluffy than I go in for but it does also have plot, so I can't fault it really. And it's good and juicy and long and consistently updated and the last chapter had a lot of action. Also, instead of the trope I keep weirdly seeing where Keira is somehow the Evil Ex-Girlfriend and Aiden is the True Love, Keira is in this as a Regretful Still-Friends Ex, so that's something.

I maybe bullied anoke into that, LOL. I was like "OOH OOH IS HE GOING TO MEET GERALT" and then I was like, outlining it, and finally was like... can... i just... write that... LOLOL.
Poor kid. I don't... collaborate much so I tend to come on a little strong. But it seems to have worked out mostly. I just have to wrap up my story-- there's a coda I gotta write to it, yet, and it's like half-done.

I WENT LOOKING FOR IT IN THE MEANWHILE AND I DEVOURED IT alongside with most of their other stuff -- i'm not great with modern au but lambert's gender & sexuality situation here hit close home so oof, that was a good read. It doesn't hurt that Geralt The Literal Horse Girl is hilarious (Can you tell I have a smidge of obsession for Geralt?) and wow, I really like how they did the Modern Continent not-quite-witchers-but-still-witchery thing with sorcery and monsters and stuff! I wish it happened more in the fandom.

I don't condone bullying generally but I'M GLAD THAT IT HAPPENED, lmao. Looking forward to the coda!
