someone in the 80s was a sociopath and i am furious about it

at least since it’s none of them i can just start off by rewinding them. but. seriously. grandpa, you’re a dick.

[kids these days don’t know about media that has to be rewound! no don’t tell me, I feel old enough as it is.]

(edit: and i had to peel the label off one of them because someone clearly labeled it after watching, because the label was sticking out so it interfered with the film coming off the reel. oh my lordt.)

Maybe grandpa was senile! I remember ranting at my family for not hitting rewind when they finished a movie and causing me to have either stop and rewind them all before returning them or pay a fine for each one at the local video store!

the other girl who does transfer orders came by and i was complaining and I said
'Be kind, rewind!'
and she laughed like she'd never heard that one before
and then i realized
she never had heard that one before
(she's in her early twenties)
and I wanted to lie down on the floor for a bit but not in these diseased times, so i had to soldier on.
