This may or may not help but this is my there’s only the two of us in this lil kitchen lifehack:

i line my compost bin with newspaper.

paper biodegrades.

it’s even beneficial, in my compost pile– you want a mix of “brown” carbon-rich and “green” nitrogen-rich materials, and paper is as “brown” as they come, and the thing mine’s mostly full of– coffee grounds– is pretty darn green, so I put all my napkins and paper towels and any paper food packaging in there too, which not only helps fill it up so I empty it now and then, it also absorbs the bin juice. And I don’t use the biodegradable bags since they– don’t, in my little compost pile, they’re a goddamn nightmare even in my sister’s enormous compost windrow that can reduce a 300lb boar to nothing in three months, she had to rake them all into a pile and then bury that pile specially in slaughterhouse waste in an attempt to get them under control– so the way I keep things from sticking to my stainless steel compost canister is that I always line it with newspaper or paper bags. Makes it a lot easier to clean out.
