While I appreciate the refreshing unifying rhetoric of Biden’s speech last night, the white supremacists and literal nazis who came out of the woodwork after feeling emboldened by Trump’s agenda and dogwhistling – they are indeed our enemies, and they should never feel safe or welcome in our country or be given any space in our national political landscape. I will be inclined to support talk of reaching across the aisle once the Republicans put their house in order and take out the goddamned trash. Till then, they are complicit.

From what I see of the Republicans the trash is taking out anyone who isn't.

My roomie said it reminded her a lot of Lincoln's speeches about reuniting the country and yadda yadda when like, dang it was about owning people. It isn't that much different in this situation.
