An idyllic Sunday morning celebratory brunch, featuring that Boingboing pandemic sourdough waffles recipe (Google it, it’s a good one!) and French 75s garnished with [Bad username or site: laughing @ earth] raspberries from the freezer. I am living, watching the celebratory videos– but guys there were over 350 positive COVID tests in Erie Co yesterday, please stay in. (Oh also I am wearing cheekbonebeauty liquid lipstick in Shannen and it is the color I have always wanted, go check them out if you like cosmetics at all, they are local (on the other side of the border but nearby!) and Indigenous-women-owned and very cool.) It feels like being able to exhale, and like the worst isn’t over but the bottom’s not so deep, and like there’s a lot of work left to do, so happy day, everyone. That lipstick is stunning on you. I think I will check out that vendor. The waffles look great also. Stay safe! The numbers are up in Brooklyn also recently.

It was recommended by someone on here, but I don't recall her DW handle. She's been spending lockdown working her way through a makeup manual specifically for Asian faces, which has been fun to watch, but we discovered she's got the same skin undertones as me, more or less.
I'm not into makeup but gosh I love a bold red lip.
I bought their liquid lipstick in Shannen but I also bought their conventional lipstick in Aki, which is a blue-red, and it's also stunning.
They just put out an autumn collection like, yesterday-- Cheekbone Beauty, is the website, and they're in St. Catharines Ontario which is like an hour away and also is basically on the Moon because the border is closed. I splurged and ordered the two lipsticks and a lipgloss, and then Dude was like "uh what's this credit card charge in Canada?!", which was really funny and I had to remember what the heck I'd spent money on.
It was the first money I spent frivolously after those awful months when my unemployment wouldn't come, so it should have been memorable...
