HA that’s funny. I can’t make out a dog in it, but I know I interpret other people’s icons as all kinds of wildly not-what-they-are sorts of things all the time, so I get it.

It is a self-portrait!

What’s funny is that it’s a camera I no longer own because I upgraded and sold it, and a necklace that perished in a house fire last year, and a dress I got too fat for, because that self-portrait is eight years old as of last February. Dang! But, I got a new version of the necklace as a gift, and the camera I upgraded to looks about the same, and I own several black dresses, so.

I took that photo expressly to use it as my Tumblr icon because none of my Livejournal ones would quite suit. And I’ve never changed it, because it never made sense to do so.
