I felt I had to post a photo of my sourdough starter, which I had to gently transition to white from whole wheat because I can’t get stone-ground whole wheat currently. I haven’t thrown out a single bit of discard, it all goes into a jar in the fridge and then gets used in things. (You can also not feed your starter very much,if you’re not using it heavily and are low on flour. I’ve been reading horror stories of people blowing their entire flour hoard just keeping an enormous starter going for no reason?)
Anyhow. Otherwise, I think it’s November out, it’s been snowing for a week and time isn’t real anyway. Bonus video: music practice with the kiddos. There’s also some teddy bear surgery prompted by a letter from my mom. And I don’t remember what other photos I picked…
Hi, everybody! Hi. We’re okay.
(And a gentle reminder: the first wave of the 1918 flu epidemic killed 3-5 million people. The second wave, when people got sick of quarantines and physical distancing and went out anyway, killed 30-50 million. Even if winter does ever end, STAY HOME.)
