That is sometimes his job. Sometimes his job is to annoy the shit out of Geralt, but that’s not how I’ve mostly told these stories, lol.

i relate to geralt because i too buy delicious things and then stick them away for a week and when i finally eat them they are unappetizing and sad and i am overwhelmed with the melancholy of “nothing is ever pleasurable in this world”
Ah, you’ll be delighted to know that the treat does not go stale in his pocket, but finds a very welcome home within a few pages, while it’s still fresh.
But I definitely feel you on that one! I know things are bad in my life when there’s ice cream in my house and I’m like “eh 😞 Ice cream is for real people who can enjoy things” and don’t eat it. or, worse, eat it and find it tastes of nothing in particular and i didn’t notice if i finished it or not. That’s a bad scene.
