I’m a USian expat living in China. There are no active cases in my province. There have been no new cases in a month. How did we do this? We STAYED HOME. We stayed away from each other when we did have to leave the house. We washed our hands. A lot.
School was supposed to start here a month ago. We still don’t have a new start date. Caution.
Shops other than food finally started opening up again last weekend. And while there are more people out than there have been since this all started, there are no crowds. We’re still keeping apart. They’re still checking your temp before you can go into Walmart and the big supermarkets.
People coming into China from anywhere are tested for the virus when they get here. Then if they’re clear, they’re still subjected to government quarantine for 14 days. Fun times.
But I still feel safer here.
