I lived in Chicago for a long time so I have a visceral feeling of what it would be like to bite into a pierogi expecting savory goodness only to find nothing inside--devastating is a good word for it.

aw man now i really want pierogi...

we have a ton of polish food here in buffalo too! but like. I've known what pierogis were my whole life, they're like. a thing you can get frozen in basically any grocery store in the US, I'd imagine.
