My county health department announced today they’re no longer testing for COVID-19.
They can’t get enough tests, it’s now confirmed to be community-spread so there’s no criteria now for who’s likely to have it. So they’re saving the few tests they can get to exclusively use on healthcare workers to ascertain their status, and everyone else, I guess, is just going to be treated. There’s no longer any point to trying to contain the epidemic.
YES TO STAYING IN MORE
They’ve also completely emptied out one of the area hospitals to devote it entirely to treating coronavirus. so, i guess that’s good. but i wonder how long that will last.
