writing progress and lasagna

I got Ancient Sea updated yesterday and have had some really lovely comments and I want to crack on and update Little Fishie but I haven’t finished the chapter. Thing is, at work, I always had time to be picking away at writing in the background. At home? No! I keep doing things like spending three and a half hours making sourdough bread and a beautiful lasagna for dinner.
(it’s a beautiful lasagna tho, go me) (enough for last night’s dinner and we’re gonna do it again tomorrow night but in between i’m gonna make something else i guess) (homemade sauce ayyyy! improvised! not bad! yes it’s got carrots in it, listen i couldn’t get spinach so i sauteed a bunch of mirepoix for a while instead)

oh right I was going to post snippets. Well, I should write more, and then come back and post snippets. That’s what I’ll do. Ha most of this update is parenthetical. I’m doing great, how about you?
Actually I am fine, I’m just getting more and more and more sad for the rest of the world.
Farmsister says their sales are actually up and she is busier than ever, and a little jealous of everyone else’s stresscleaning and desperation online-yoga classes; she’s without childcare and without employees, except for one blessed, blessed volunteer who’s usually a fitness instructor at the Y and comes by once a week but since the Y’s closed, she’s coming every day and is a fantastic greenhouse worker so they are On Target.
Also a lot of the CSA members are buying boxes of meat and eggs, and then talking a walk around the farm, and it’s lovely that they can do this and have this community while still all being mutually isolated. The pigs are delighted to have so much attention.
I think I’m going to write a bunch of letters to all my family and friends and such, that seems like a good practice to get into. Fortunately I’m well-stocked on stationery, if a bit less-so on stamps… I guess drop me a line if you want a letter, I can’t promise I’ll follow through but it seems like a fun exercise.
