So I went in to work this morning, at 7 again. Bleached everything before I touched it, washed my hands, bleached things again.
Put everything in order. Any outstanding orders I annotated, and left in neat piles on my desk with notes.
Listed a bunch of things I’d shot photos for, or put them in the “drafts” folder so they could be listed with a single click.
Our corporate headquarters (ha, there are three stores in the chain in total, some big corporation) is in Philadelphia. PA is on a no-unnecessary-business order. Nonessential businesses are asked to close. Is a camera store a nonessential business?
The owner said yesterday that if we close, we may not be able to reopen. I don’t know what’ll happen.
I organized everything and came home. I said I planned to stay local for a few more days at least, so let me know if they need anything more from me.
So now I’m at home, thinking of what to do next. I feel like the correct thing to do is to not travel. They could use my help at the farm, of course, but they’d also be all right without me. And I desperately need to get my own house into order. It’s been years since I’ve been able to see the floor in my bedroom, for example. I really really could spent a couple of days here organizing things. I’ll check in with my sister and see how she’s doing; I didn’t hear if they’ve managed to hire staff for the summer or not. That’ll be a problem soon, but isn’t yet.
if my job isn’t there to come back to after this, well. They can’t necessarily pay me, but I can find a place there [at the farm] anyway, one way or another.
Anyhow, on a more cheerful note, Dude decided last night that since we’re socially isolated we should watch something on TV, or a movie or something, and i talked him into the first episode of The Untamed, and holy fuck that shit is bonkers what the hap is fuckening.
He was like… “this is too much, this is too much,” but when I said, “we can stop” he was like “No! I need to see what happens!”
So. Anyhow. That shit is bonkers, how did none of you warn me??? I have seen one (1) episode.
