Well, my perhaps-too-topical chapter update to Little Fishie is up: Chapter 4.
ALL the TWs about contagion and government mismanagement and attendant hazards of an epidemic!!
(why did i not write a fluff chapter here? why is this not fluff? what was i thinking? i mean, i wasn’t thinking I’d be caught up in a pandemic, is what I was thinking. 2020 is fucking horrible y’all.)
So take care. I’ll have a follow-up update soon, probably over the weekend or early next week, with the other half of the chapter, in which there’s some more help for our brave heroes, though it’s also not fluffy. So feel free to skip this update and wait for that one, if you’re not feeling up to reading about heavy subject matters today.
Hint: the next chapter has the reveal about Roach’s name.
Geralt had the tiniest fraction of warning, as those eyes suddenly sparkled with mischief. “Now will you tell me why your horse is named Roach?” Jaskier asked.
Despite himself, Geralt laughed and looked away, letting go of him. “If you live,” he said.
“Oh come on,” Jaskier protested.
“You have to survive. If you make it through, I’ll tell you the entire story.”
“You are a monster ,” Jaskier said.
