Where I stand on any and all Witcher shipping from now until the end of time.
So anyway, this blew up and I have a few notes after reading the many comments and tags on this:
The way I worded this is to indicate I honestly don’t care how you ship the three of them so long as you do not delete Yennefer from her own story. She’s the deuteragonist, a complicated, interesting female character, placed by a woman of color. And yet I would run through The Witcher tags and see post after post where she was ignored or at best used as a prop for Geralt x Jaskier. I’ve even see posts of people being positively gleeful about how fandom was choosing to ignore a woman of color in favor of two white guys, like that made them woke or creative rather than run-of-the-mill for this site. I hated it.
So whether you see them as a true throuple, Yen as an amicable ex, Jaskier as the quirky uncle, or some other arrangement, just don’t cut Yennefer out like that, it’s kinda awful.
