am at the farm. arrived on a sunny day. ‘put your car in the farmstand,’ BIL said, “veg man isn’t here, use his spot, that way your car won’t get all gross.’ ‘gross?’ i said. ‘gross weather tomorrow.’
We made a run to the library and stocked up, just in case of snow day.
sure enough. snow day today. farmkid is ecstatic. i remember that kind of energy but as an adult i’m uncomfortably aware that snow days just mean more work. maybe that’s the true tragedy of being an adult.
