caucasianscriptures:
I answer for no one.
At work, I was talking to a coworker– he’s an only child, his mother is widowed, she calls him like literally every day and he has to be like “mama, I’m working, i have to go”.
I idly scrolled through my call logs to confirm a suspicion one day, as he extricated himself from another phone call from his mother.
“My mother’s never called this phone,” I said, as I reached the end of my brief call log.
“She calls your house phone?” he said.
I looked up. “I don’t have a house phone.”
That was three years ago. I got a new phone. She’s never called this one either. Listen some people’s parents aren’t big phone talkers. My mom was born in 1951 and hates the phone– that’s smack dab Boomer demographics, but theee very minute she could send us group texts, she was on that shit. Most of the texts on my phone are the family groupchat.
If my phone is ringing, it’s not for me.
