Oh I forgot to post this one. i was up in the barn attic for something and took this shot, handheld, no adjustment of settings, and was rather pleased with how it came out.

that is a cool photo! the darkness and inability to quite tell what all's there makes it so intriguing to look at - at first one sees the light bits as glints off metal, and then my brain decided it's maybe holes in the barn boards; hard to tell. it's very atmospheric

I love how the backlighting here gives you crisp bright edges right up against shadows so dark they're mostly just abstract shapes blurred together - v atmospheric and mysterious. The composition is nice too.

Oooooooooooh. I tried to do a similar one with my cameraphone and it just does not compare to a real DSLR. Fucking love representational art that looks abstract.
