oh i’ve been updating on Dreamwidth lately. Well, because I’ve been in the yurt and Tumblr wastes data like you would not believe. So I’ve been neither reading nor posting on here, but there have been a pile of txt-only babbling sort of updates here.
Having spent last night in my own bed and now being on my own couch and now trying to get myself together to go to my office job, it’s a bit disorienting. I have made more progress on that original novel and will post on DW about it probably.
I don’t want to go back to the office. We’ll see how I do. It’s good for my skin, I’m hives all over from lord knows what and some solid time indoors and out of sight of the sun will be good, if horribly depressing.
Dude booked us a week’s vacation in July on an island in the Adirondacks. Boat access only. I haven’t paddled a canoe since roughly 2002 but it’s like riding a bike, right? I should probably do some arm workouts before then, though.
I wanted an isolated cabin vacation with WiFi, so I guess 50% is closer than 0.
Maybe I’ll get a bunch of that novel written that week….
