The Wizard Hunters. Watercolor and colored pencil, 2019.
I recently reread the Fall of Ile-Rien trilogy by Martha Wells, so when I was looking for watercolor ideas this jumped out at me. The Wizard Hunters was the first book of hers I ever read - I picked it up off a library shelf because the title and cover were interesting, and the words inside did not disappoint.
Tremaine and Ilias are my favorites, I love seeing how they interact throughout the series. Crawling around in a bunch of caves and almost dying a lot might not be the best foundation for a relationship, but it’s probably not the worst way to do things, either.
