Not to be vain but… I mean, I really enjoyed the characterizations? But I kind of felt like… I mean, they were consistent with the way I write the characters. Is that weird? That might be weird of me.
I do feel though, that despite the complaints I’ve seen here and there about various structural elements of the work, people enjoy the characters, and that’s why. They made everybody consistent and in character. So not everybody got a good arc, most characters were flat, whatever– they were the ones we know and love.
And I mean, like– they weren’t fanon woobie whatever-character. They were snarky dry-sarcasm Clint and wistful eerie Wanda and exhausted dead-eyed Bucky with rare smiles, and sharp quick-witted Sam and analytical-but-with-a-heart Natasha, and so on. So they were familiar.
Honestly that’s what I mostly like in fic so that’s what I wanted to see in the movie?
In addition: I’m glad I saw the movie when I did because I have seen probably half an hour’s worth of gifsets at this point. Y’all just– opened the floodgates, huh? Movie’s officially released, go for it! You know if you use mobile or can’t install a browser extension that blacklisting is actually unattainable, right? Holy fuck guys, I get that it’s exciting but y’all have no chill.
Uh I’m gonna update Full of Grace though pretty soon so nobody panic.
