so Z was sick two weeks ago and has been recovering for another week and has been useless the entire time and I have borne it with ill grace, to my own chagrin, but I am tired and at the end of my rope from trying to compensate for all of his shit and also do the things of my own I can barely make it through doing, and I realized that people I thought were just coming to town to meet up at a thing were also expecting to come back to our house after that and like, duh, but I have made little progress on cleaning of late and the place is as ever a total wreck, and so I have to do a lot of work, bah.
oh well, whatever.
But I woke up with an awful sore throat this morning and have spent the entire day since with a gross hollow boy-you're-gonna-have-a-bad-time pain in my chest, like I get just before a massive bout of chest congestion, so.
Odds are perhaps slender that I have whatever so thoroughly prostrated Z, though he was remarkably shitty about, like, covering his mouth when he coughed, and not drinking out of my glass, and such; still, it was two weeks ago that he first got sick, so surely I'd already have had it if I were getting it?
But I've got something, and now I can't tell if it's that I'm getting sick and that's making me tired all over, or maybe I'm just being a really lazy sack of shit.
But, I did clean out a lot of old raggedy sheets and towels from the linen closet so that I could put away all the currently-usable ones that are perpetually in stacks in the Wrong Places, so that was an achievement, and I've got all the laundry done for this week and managed to get the linen sheets on the line yesterday when it was cold but sunny, so they actually hung dry nicely. (Linen winds up the least horribly wrinkly if you line-dry it-- air-drying indoors doesn't do it, you need it out on a line getting occasionally snapped by the wind to pull the creases out. It's not all that well-suited to being machine-dried, and I think that somewhat explains why its popularity has waned-- it's a preindustrial fiber for sure.)
Ah, shit, I forgot to post a Mammoths Novel bit. I need to do that. I also need to lie down and die. Maybe I'm just being dramatic. I have no answers.
