Oh lol your poor dude and his limited perspective!
He went to Catholic school and I’m his only serious relationship. I have no idea how he knows anything, he’s entirely self-taught. I should be less surprised than I am every time I find something he has no idea about; I had to explain birth control to him, because it was something he knew existed but wasn’t super clear on the details of. (He had a vague notion that it was used to make the cycle regular so you could use the rhythm method, which was the only one his teachers had been allowed to admit existed.)
I just… sometimes forget. I learned most of what I know from the Internet, but I go very different places on the Internet than he does, and crucially my perspective is quite different.

I mean, at least hers was openly anecdotal.) (She was on the Pill because of endometriosis, though, before that, and I honestly to this day do not know what her sex life was like before she met my dad.) (Whose Catholic opinion on birth control was the shitty, lazy, but effective "eh I'm Catholic so I can't use the stuff but you can do whatever you want!" which meant my mom did, in fact, do whatever she wanted, because her Jesus didn't give a shit!)
