hey @lookninjas weren’t we going to make a zine about something?
(i’m doing the page layout for my thesis and it’s very satisfying and that reminded me)
We were but no one ever really decided what it was going to be about and tumblr is still limping along so I think we’ve decided we don’t need it yet.
But on the other hand I still kind of thing democracy is going to die and media is next and then we’ll need alternate ways of reaching out to each other and disseminating information so maybe we should start now for, like, practice.
can I contribute pages to the zine? I can make copies! and draw things!
Anyone’s welcome to contribute! Also, I read your tags, and I don’t know if I’d necessarily want this to be fannish as I don’t want to get sued, and I feel like the majority of people I know are in different fandoms from me anyway.
So, original stuff, art and writing and maybe essays that don’t have to be that formal? Could be political, if we’re feeling that kind of a way about things? Anyone else in? I got my Art Harder, Motherfucker mug in the mail yesterday, and I own a stapler now, although not the long one you’d traditionally use for zining. And I’d like to fuck around with odd layouts more.
oh good good. Like I said: I’m terrible at fandom. I like reading other people talk about it, but I’m too tired/anxious to make anything with other people’s stuff.
However I have many Opinions and can even generate a Hot Take ™ if need be!

TBH, I don’t know how much I’d be able to contribute to a post-apocalyptic solarpunk zine apart from layout and publishing, but if we can get enough people in on that action to fill the pages, I would be super-enthusiastic about doing layout and publishing. We just need more contributors.

I feel kind of weird saying this about myself, but it’s true. I really do publish shit. Although it’s been a minute since the last one came out, but still. So for real, let’s hash out a plan of some kind and start recruiting, even if it’s just the… I think it’s five of us now involved with this.
(I mean, I can hash out the plan myself, if that’s wanted! I’ve done it before! But I don’t want to jump in as a dictator if people are wanting this to be more collaborative, so I’m trying not to just do things unless that’s what people want.)
