WE DID IT
Dude actually researched how to fix windows himself and bought the stuff and figured out how we could do it and then the two of us ACTUALLY DID IT
All those things about how you gotta take apart the sash? No you don’t, if you have two people and a steady hand. We did it the lazy don’t-know-what-the-fuck-we’re-doing way, and now it’s DONE, and it’s actually SLIGHTLY WINDPROOF. SO THERE.

LOOK HOW HANDY HE IS when he gets off his ass!!!
I really see absolutely no signs that any part of this window frame is in any meaningful way removable so that the sash could be pulled out. No signs whatsoever. I guess i could have done some light demolition to find out for sure, but no fucking way was I willing to do that.
Dad was like “sometimes it’s painted over” and i’m like “this doesn’t look like it actually comes apart”, so.
Anyway after this my dudes slept the sleep of the righteous, so. Well-deserved.
