my foul-weather gear has elasticated inner sleeves and velcro cinches on the outside of the sleeves, and a toggle-pull thing through the outside of the hood.
Mm mine is a dress raincoat like to wear with business attire, as opposed to like, hiking gear. I have farm-rated foul-weather gear too and it also doesn’t have hiking-related touches, it’s just heavily rubberized. I don’t want to buy yet a third raincoat.

Rain pants. But also sacrificial pants would do.
Yeah. I’ve not managed to buy myself rain pants. Everyone on the farm has them. I have the issue that the Best And Most Economical Suppliers of these sorts of things tend toward unisex sizing and basically never ever have anything suitable for a fat lady such as myself.
I did find some plus-size women’s rain pants from Columbia but like. $60 man. No. I’ll just wear knee socks I expect to get soaked through.
Which is what I did this morning, but then my sneakers, which I had anticipated getting soaked and then drying out during the day, did not dry out. Everything was still wet this afternoon.
And my hip decided that this morning’s walk wasn’t enough, and said “fuck you” to my attempts to limber up in the afternoon, so instead I wimped out and had Dude pick me up on his way home from work. I feel wretched all around, for some reason, and it’s a problem because I was going to make dinner tonight. Ugh.
