shoutout to the weather, for promising me no rain today, but clouds, so i hung out laundry and it got dry without getting too much sun (delicates!), and it didn’t rain, and then after i took the laundry down and after the cat had her chance to creep around the yard this evening it poured rain for like three minutes. that was nice of you. i appreciate it, weather.
now, if you could stop with the rain for a bit that’d be keen, but i won’t complain; it’s not raining now.
(i bet there are mushrooms growing in my yurt, who wants to take bets on it? the farmhouse had 8 inches of water in the basement on tuesday. my mother said in the family groupchat “oh it’ll go down soon” and Farmsister said “it’s going down now, we have the irrigation pump in there to remove it”, so. I mean. taking charge of one’s own destiny, i suppose.)
(much sympathy to the enormous swathes of the country who have had terrible weather events, of course.)
