it does do image hosting, you get a limited amount of storage space though. you get a few different options of how to display things as well

I used the Wordpress platform for a while last year at school and it hosts images. I hated it though!!!!

I have like a thousand pictures.
I used Flickr for many, many years, and I liked it. I used to make albums with long descriptions, and caption every image painstakingly.
Then they had an update and suddenly, captions no longer display. You can only see images. It lets you put captions on them still, but doesn’t display those captions anywhere obvious. So, hours of work, and basically all of my storytelling ability about those images, just wiped away. It destroyed how I use the site, so I haven’t uploaded anything to it in years.
Maybe if I just host the images on Flickr and embed them on Wordpress, though, then I can have captions? I just– listen, I like to tell pictures about stories, I don’t think they really do stand on their own in most cases, and even when they do I like to fucking talk, ok? So.
Anyway. I just dug up all my seven-years-ago anger about Flickr, sorry that came out like that, I got some impulse control issues today.
