wait, mended clothes are taboo? do they just buy new things or do you have to mend them in ways that aren’t visible?
I don’t know! Probably a combination of both, there does seem to be more handmade clothing around, at least when it comes to dressing traditionally. Mended clothes in the US are only fashionable to, like… me, so. *shrug*

Yeah, that’s our thought– our first destination is the capital city, so we can probably get a feel for things there. We’ll be there for their Independence Day, which should be kind of cool!!
It’s just hard to gauge amounts. Like… one of the hotels is thirty dollars. That’s insanely cheap. But standard for the area. How do you budget when you have no idea how much things cost?? It’s tricky. But we’re really trying to go into it knowing how much things ought to cost, because otherwise you get ripped off, you just do. So…
