I didn’t wanna get out of bed this morning, I had such good kitty snuggles. She was all curled up and it was 52 degrees in the yurt and I was so sleepy. But I’ve been getting up at 5:30 all week and I couldn’t reasonably have a lie-in, I’d just feel guilty and gross and would have to harvest flowers in the heat and sun later. So.
I hauled my ass out of bed and got a bucket of sunflowers and amaranth, and a quarter-bucket of zinnias, and there are so many fucking buds on those flowers and I know they won’t be ready by tomorrow, grr. We need them for tomorrow! Oh well.
Doing a wedding installation at Mass MoCa, which should be awesome, and two DIY buckets (where we just give the bride buckets of flowers to arrange herself), and three big finished bouquets for an event tonight, and a bucket of arrangements (ten medium-sized bouquets) for a wedding on Saturday, and then the farmer’s market, where we’ve been selling out of arrangements the last couple of weeks and usually try to bring about 100 arrangements of varying sorts.
I’m supposed to be watching Farmkid, who was playing upstairs when I came in, and now is quiet and is probably sitting up there sucking her thumb, which is prohibited, but I just want to sit for a moment and finish this coffee.
I wrote a big update on Tuesday night that eventually did post to Pillowfort, and it’s easier to load that site, but the cell service around here went down to like, one bar on Tuesday and hasn’t really come back up, so I can’t even get on mobile data in the evenings. I can compose offline, so I did. In-house wifi is working fine but I rarely have time to be on it. So. C’est la vie. That’s how summers go, around here.
