I’ve been scrolling back through my own archive sort of off-handedly in my free moments over the last week or so, and occasionally throwing self-reblogs into the queue, so you’ll see a small selection of real gems circa 2014 coming up. It’s sort of depressing because nothing has changed in my life since then but I mean. I do think I’m in much better mental health, so there’s that.
Anyway that’s why there are random ancient blasts from the past.
I do recommend going back through your own archives now and then, it’s illuminating.
Maybe less so on here, though, because the overwhelming vast majority of content is reblogged, so you’re just seeing what you thought was funny back then. I suppose that’s still illuminating. Especially some of the Discourse.
And the vintage memes are entertaining. Some of them are still circulating. I wonder what the difference is, between the ones that are still kicking and the ones that die down.
