if you can get hold of it, very light linen/cotton to sit against your skin and be rinsed out easily in whatever conditions. cause the weather’s probably gonna be changeable enough for layering
By coincidence we went to TJ Maxx (an overstock clearance kind of joint) to look for packing cubes and sure enough, in the clearance women’s plus section there was a short linen dress, a linen tunic, and a linen/cotton blend roll-sleeve overshirt all in my size, so I have snapped them up and popped them in to prewash. I might alter the dress to have even more pockets than it does, I’m quite pleased with it. And I might copy the tunic, it has some great pleating in the back yoke area. Linen wrinkles like crazy but if it starts out wrinkled and winds up wrinkled who’s to say it wasn’t intentional??
I always say I’m going to make garments and never do, so maybe this is a good start after all. I’m going to rely a lot on tunics/skirts and leggings, I think, because you can always rinse leggings out too. Plus I dress like that anyway so why not.
