I’m sorry, I’ve been on the Internet a long time and I’m just sort of boggled by this. I guess I remember that forums used to work like that, circa 2001, and you’d just go back to the threads you’d been responding to and manually reload them to see if anyone had replied to them.
It’s just. That was almost two decades ago and I thought we had come up with solutions since then.

There’s a Replies button in the slidey-outy sidebar!
it shows you uh. every single reply to a thread. but not. well, not the thread itself. That button there in the middle.
It brings you to a page that’s just every reply to one of your comments. Including comments you’ve made in reply to yourself, which, okay. Hey, if not there then where.
It doesn’t, however, give any context, so you’re never sure who’s actually replying to what. (You can click through but do be careful, it doesn’t open a new window, it’s all in the same window so you’ll lose your place if you’re as ADHD and easily confused as I am.) But I am encouraged to see that all this time tons of people have actually been interacting with content I assumed was being shouted into the void. It’s sort of a shame, actually, but. I mean. Learning curve, I guess.
It’d be keen if you got notifs of likes and reblogs in that same spot but i get why you don’t. You just– don’t get any notifs of those things, literally at all, I looked it up and that’s actually true. You can see on the interacted-with post in question whether someone has interacted with it, but if it’s not a comment it won’t show up in the replies pane, and there’s literally no way to get comments emailed to you, so you really have to want to know whether you’re shouting into the void or not.
