now i’m to the point where i’m trying to write the novel with the mammoths and the worldbuilding was just sort of sprawling and not going anywhere so i wrote a series of backstory vignettes and now i
i don’t care about these people because nobody else cares about these people
and this is how fanfiction stunts you as a writer. argh.
I was going to say, i haven’t even written that much, but i did do a wordcount and it’s 15k, which isn’t… nothing. but i haven’t started the novel yet, really. i’m just to the scene that I’d originally gotten excited to write as the opening.
