Christ I clicked that link and it’s like eighty pages of wittering on about slightly offensive stereotypes simultaneously about St. Patrick’s Day and Mexicans, so like, grain of salt, huge grain of salt.
But the idea of putting cucumber juice into a margarita is a great one. It just– seriously, I had to scroll and scroll and scroll and I was like why did i click on this what is this forest of nonsense.
I am the sort of person who always writes long stories of meandering bullshit so I’ve always felt a bit self-conscious about all the memes and jokes about recipe blogs taking ages to get to the point but sweet Christ, this last couple of weeks I’ve had horrible experiences every time I’ve tried to Google a recipe– the hits that look promising in Google results are without fail MULTIPLE PAGES of utter , either personal stories or, worse, moral proselytizing about various health crazes, and on one memorable occasion, literally sixteen paragraphs of price breakdowns on how much money you could save making this recipe if you completely forgot to factor in time spent and the costs of energy for cooking. I mean, to the penny, per batch– ridiculous. All I wanted was to confirm a minor detail of the technique, I don’t need a literal sermon about thriftiness.
