runawaymarbles mentioned you on a post “bomberqueen17 a réagi à votre billet “Kill me now. I’ve just decided…”
OH my god @bomberqueen17 have you seen Black Sails?? (Because you writing BS fic would be one of the best things to ever happen)
Aww, you’re too sweet.
No, i haven’t seen the source material– I gather it’s a miniseries? It seems good from the gifsets and all but despite having consumed some of the meta about it with interest – it actually makes the homosexuality canon??? instead of baiting it forever??? wtf that’s amazing– I have neither a netflix login nor a hulu thingy and don’t know when or where I’d find the time for either.
But I am extremely flattered. <3

Front has a stomacher like a francaise, but back has sewn down pleats like an anglaise. I’m okayish on the period but not enough to cite extant garments that do that.

While both styles descend from seventeenth-century Spanish design, the a la francaise has a sack back, the loose back with shoulder pleats, while the robe a l'anglaise has a fitted back. I would also like to second @runawaymarbles’ great enthusiasm re you writing Black Sails fic.
See I knew the Internet would collectively know what it was, lol.
You’re lovely, I wish I had time to do fandom like a job and be into everything. @walburgablack I have your fic about Greek things open in a tab and will attempt to read it but I genuinely don’t know what movie or miniseries it’s specifically about so I hope my generalized knowledge about the Iliad will see me through, I haven’t consumed anything more recent…
