the upside of not having a phone is that my coworker decided that we should party like it’s the 90s, so we’re listening to Soundgarden. Louder Than Love– I recommend it.
the downside is literally everything else. and i’m sort of. I’m just constantly feeling that super-gross awkward feeling you get after you’ve been in a fight with a friend? only I wasn’t? like all the time. Keen! Sparkly! Brain chemistry is a fucking trip.
And like. Since I’m useless today, I’m going to whine. I love every comment I get, of course, like any author who constantly craves feedback. But if you’re reading a fic and your sole response to the whole thing is to reply to another commenter who complimented the author’s different take on something just to say “well actually it’s not that different i see it all the time smiley face”, that kind of makes the author feel a little bit crappy so if that isn’t your intention, maybe consider also leaving a kudos or something. If it was your intention, though, that’s kind of mean. At least leave recs so I can see how much better everyone else has handled that trope than me. I mean, since I’m clearly into it, since I wrote such a derivative thing.
Everything’s a double-edged sword, really, when your brain is working against you. I was going to see about doing an askmeme or something just for the sheer distraction factor but if I’m going to be oversensitive to every little thing there’s no point trying to interact more with people.
Also. Y’know. I don’t have my phone so I won’t be able to look at Tumblr again until I get home. (This is me on lunch break. I have a mason jar full of Cheez-Its.)
Today’s Wikipedia binge is the Latin Kings. The title of the working doc in my Google Docs, into which I’m randomly composing things, is Tell That To Kanjiklub. Hmm!
I’m sure someone else has already gone here and anything I could come up with would just be a retread, but you know, I’ll think about it for a while anyway.
