YESSS the Poe/Hux thing; I keep meaning to write my own version, if that makes you feel better? And you know, I DID write the RPF of it so there’s always someone who’s sunk lower that you. I don’t even have the grace to feel bad about it either.
See now, seeing you say that, my instant reaction is you shouldn’t feel bad about it wtf!!! so I suppose that’s illuminating.
i have been attempting to metabolize all this coffee so that I can make rational decisions about this (and also am in the midst of some IRL shit, I think my dude has hit some threshhold of brain chemistry or other because he’s nesting and that means i have to move furniture, and it’s cool but I wish this could have manifested in some cleaning of the rooms we actually use but I shouldn’t bitch, he recently cleaned the bathtub for the first time in 15 years and he did a really good job actually but i wish he’d given more notice, all my good steam-cleaning equipment is at my sister’s house where i live the rest of the time, and i would have brought it back last time but I didn’t know he was going to suddenly want to do this; he hasn’t so much as swept the kitchen floor in like a year but suddenly we’re deep-cleaning the back porch, this must mean things about his feelings of ownership of a house I live in only part-time, I don’t know, my head hurts) but really all I want is more coffee.
Mostly I am shitty to myself about things I enjoy in other people, and if that isn’t absolutely stupid I don’t know what is, but knowing it’s stupid and stopping feeling even shittier about myself because of it is something else.
I’m not actually beating myself up for my choices in ficcing! I’m just not organized enough to fucking exist at the moment.
