@bomberqueen17 has sent me a lovely postcard IN FUCKING RUSSIAN, and I’m going to have to dig up my old textbooks to read past the first line, because I studied it twenty fucking years ago and I don’t even remember what some of these letters are 😂
Ha ha haaa don’t worry too much, I was writing to another friend who studied Russian slightly more recently, практиковать you know, and thought, you know, now I’ve taken all this trouble to figure out how to say this extremely basic message in my extremely painstaking-yet-awful handwriting, I might as well send a copy to someone else while I’m at it.
You do not actually have to write back, I just thought it would be entertaining.
My next project is going to be to translate this extremely hilarious pamphlet someone gave to my father in the 80s when he was studying Russian for Cold War purposes. It features a tortoise and, as far as I can tell, gossip. This ought to be good.
