desert’s lovely dark and deep and i got no more promises left to keep

somewhere, somewhere, on some hard drive or other, i have some gorgeous photos i took when i saw this band live in Rochester like three or four years ago. Oh– hey the album is still online. (HA five years ago. Old woman, your memory grows feeble.)
Anyway. RC&P is my #1 Howl Along In The Car Fave because I have almost exactly RC’s vocal range when I want to Howl At Things, and it’s great. His voice is so beautiful.
This song specifically is such a heartfelt and true song, based on his best friend who died when they were in their 20s, I think Mike had something degenerative going on, took forever to kill him by inches. Clyne has some phenomenal stories about what a terrifying sumbitch the guy was, and of course, how much he loved him.
Anyway. I’m out of songs for chapter titles for Home Out In The Wind, and i want to use something Peacemakersish, if for no other reason than Real Attractive Dark-Haired Bilingual Dude With Guitar, but I’m still mulling this over.
The album versions of the songs are fine for howling along to in the car but my gosh, nothing can convey the live energy. the live videos are annoying, though, because the audience is Howling Along. Funny how that works.
There has got to be an adaptible version of Jack vs Jose, though.
