The copy on the box of this Stewart’s ice cream l claims Philly Vanilla is named not for the city but for a particular member of the Stewart family. I had never before considered this. I’ve never had Philly Vanilla anywhere else. I will say this, the Stewart’s version is about the best ice cream flavor I’ve had in my life, and I’ve had some damn good ice cream in my years on this planet. So true story or not, I’ll give them credit.
